Terms of sale

Article 1 – Seller. The website sousleparasol.fr is operated by Sous le Parasol, a SARL (limited liability company) with share capital of €7,622, RCS Paris 326 036 936, intra-community VAT number FR68326036936, registered office: 75 boulevard de Sébastopol, 75002 Paris, France. Contact: contact@sousleparasol.fr – +33 1 42 36 74 95.

Article 2 – Purpose. These terms govern sales concluded on the website between the seller and any non-professional customer ("the customer"). The customer accepts them before placing any order; the applicable version is the one in force on the day of the order.

Article 3 – Products. The products (eaux de Cologne, perfumes, eaux de toilette, soaps and cosmetics) are described on their product page with their essential characteristics. Photographs are not contractual. Offers are valid while stocks last.

Article 4 – Prices. Prices are shown in euros, including all taxes (French VAT included), excluding delivery costs. Delivery costs are shown before the order is confirmed (see the shipping policy). The seller may change its prices at any time; the price applied is the one displayed at the time of the order.

Article 5 – Orders. The customer selects their products, checks the details and total price of their order, then confirms and pays for it. The sale is concluded when payment is confirmed. A confirmation email summarising the order is sent to the customer. The seller may refuse an order in the event of a previous dispute or an abnormal order.

Article 6 – Payment. Payment is due when the order is placed, online, by bank card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. Payments are processed securely by Shopify Payments or PayPal; the seller has no access to bank details.

Article 7 – Delivery. Products are delivered in mainland France to the address given by the customer, or can be collected free of charge in the shop. Delivery times and rates: see the shipping policy. Unless otherwise stated, delivery takes place no later than 30 days after the order. Ownership and risk pass to the customer when the products are handed over. If a parcel is damaged, the customer is asked to note this with the carrier and to inform the seller.

Article 8 – Right of withdrawal. The customer has 14 days from receipt of the products to withdraw from the purchase without giving any reason (articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). As a commercial gesture, the seller extends this period to 30 days. The procedure, the model form and the exceptions are set out in the refund and returns policy.

Article 9 – Legal guarantees. All products benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L217-3 to L217-20 of the French Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code). Under the guarantee of conformity, the customer has 2 years from delivery to obtain repair or replacement of the product, or failing that a price reduction or a refund; they do not have to prove the defect during these 2 years. Article 10 – Personal data. The data collected is necessary to process orders. Its processing is described in the website's privacy policy.

Article 11 – Complaints. Any complaint should be sent to contact@sousleparasol.fr or by post to the registered office address.

Article 12 – Governing law. These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the rules protecting consumers.
